Element: Maintain staff records
  • All employees are signed on and declaration forms signed.
  • Employment agreements are arranged.
  • Work is recorded accurately.
  • Units of work are totalled for each employee.
  • Injury records are maintained.
  • Tax file and superannuation numbers and collected and maintained confidentially.
       
Element: Calculate earnings
  • Relevant awards and current pay rates are obtained.
  • Employment contracts are followed.
  • Gross earnings are calculated for each employee.
       
Element: Calculate deductions and nett pay
  • Taxation deductions are calculated.
  • Group certificates are completed.
  • Tax is forwarded to the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Occupational superannuation is calculated and documented.
       
Element: Pay staff
  • Pays are prepared and staff paid in accordance with the relevant Award.
  • Cash advances are arranged on request.
